Schlatter Group – Innovation and tradition since 1916

The Schlatter Group can look back on over 100 years of history full of pioneering spirit and technical innovation.

International success through technological milestones

In the 1930s, the partnership with the American company Microweld provided access to the global market. Schlatter supplied numerous industries with highly specialized welding machines, including radio and light bulb factories as well as steel construction companies. After the Second World War, the company achieved its major breakthrough with the development of mesh welding machines for the construction industry.

Technological expertise as a growth driver

Schlatter recognized the importance of intelligent control technology for optimal welding processes at an early stage. In-house developments such as the Synotron load balancing device and the first rectifier welding machine set new standards and strengthened the company’s market leadership.

Expansion through strategic acquisitions

With the takeover of Jäger, now Schlatter Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, Schlatter entered the field of weaving and finishing machines for paper machine clothing as well as wire and mesh fabrics. This expansion consolidated the company’s position as a system provider in new markets.
