Our man­age­ment

The Group is divided into two divi­sions accord­ing to a func­tional orga­ni­za­tional struc­ture. The “Welding” segment com­prises welding tech­nol­ogy, wire welding, wire pro­duc­tion and rail welding. The “Weaving” segment includes weaving machine solu­tions for the pro­duc­tion of paper machine clothing and wire weaving.

Inno­va­tion and
tra­di­tion since 1916

The Schlatter Group was founded in 1916 by Hans A. Schlatter, a pioneer in resis­tance welding. After his return from the USA, he suc­cess­fully imple­mented the process, which was hardly known in Europe at the time, in Swiss industry. With the devel­op­ment of an inno­v­a­tive man­u­fac­tur­ing process for shoe nails, he laid the foun­da­tion for today’s group of com­pa­nies.
