Our BD series rapier weaving machines have been spe­cially devel­oped for the pro­duc­tion of metal wire mesh with a wide variety of mate­ri­als.

The rapier weaving machines enable weaving widths between 1300 and 7500 mm and there­fore cover a wide range of appli­ca­tions. From stain­less steel, iron, copper, brass, bronze or aluminum to precious metals such as platinum, a wide variety of mate­ri­als can be processed with ease.

Our wire weaving machines set new stan­dards in the pro­duc­tion of metal wire mesh. They guar­an­tee repro­ducible mesh quality thanks to pro­gram­ma­ble weaving para­me­ters and modern control and drive tech­nol­ogy.

Robust­ness and maximum flex­i­bil­ity

Our wire weaving machines have a durable and robust basic con­struc­tion. Depend­ing on the type, the shuttle is driven via double cam discs with direct drive or via double cam discs and a toggle system, which enables extremely high weaving tensions while simul­ta­ne­ously reliev­ing the cam discs and guide rollers. This further increases dura­bil­ity. With the flexible tape gripper system, weft wires with a wide range of wire diam­e­ters can be processed. The system also makes it easy to adjust the weaving width and, thanks to a modern AC servo dobby, fabric weave and process para­me­ters can also be easily set.

Highest fabric quality and repro­ducibil­ity

The inte­gra­tion of the latest elec­tronic drive tech­nol­ogy for warp let-off and fabric take-up enables precise stitch accuracy and reliable control of the warp tension. The proven belt gripper system ensures maximum pro­duc­tion reli­a­bil­ity. The feeding system, which is driven by an AC servo motor, allows a wide variety of mate­ri­als and diam­e­ters to be fed in pre­cisely, reliably and quickly. A state-of-the-art Siemens control system enables simple and cen­tral­ized input and main­te­nance of all web para­me­ters. Thanks to a pro­gram­ma­ble fabric database (recipe pro­gram­ming), pro­duc­tion changes can be imple­mented quickly, effi­ciently and repeat­ably.
