The multi-drawing machines offer a state-of-the-art solution for drawing and rolling steel wires with small and medium diameters (1.2 mm to 8.0 mm) and a low to medium carbon content. These machines are ideal for the production of wire for industrial purposes such as nails, galvanized wire, wire ties and much more. The wire can be wound either in spools or as vertical wall stems to meet different requirements.

Expansion options and additional options

The multiple drawing line can be supplemented with a horizontal HS winder, which winds the wire onto fixed spools. In addition, Schlatter offers a range of optional equipment for wire cleaning, wire descaling and wire coating. These advanced systems improve the wire surface by roughening and cleaning it, resulting in better performance in the downstream production process while reducing costs.

Structure of the multi-target line

A typical multi-target line consists of several coordinated components:

Vertical pay-off system VPS for unwinding wire rod with wire diameters from 5.5 to 16 mm.
Wire preparation device MD/LD, which is responsible for the mechanical surface cleaning and lubrication of the wire rod, including a descaling device MD and a lubrication device LD.
MDLV multi-drawing machine with up to 10 vertical capstan axes, which draws and rolls the wire precisely.
Horizontal (HS) or vertical spooling device (VS) for winding the steel wire onto spools.
