Control center

The mobile and sta­tion­ary rail welding systems are equipped with a control center that includes the function control (PLC), welding current control and the Schlatter Weld Analyzer.

Schlatter Weld Analyzer

The latest gen­er­a­tion of the Schlatter Weld Analyzer ensures that welds are carried out with con­sis­tently high quality. The Weld Analyzer records and visu­al­izes the three main para­me­ters – force, current and dis­place­ment – on a screen in real time through­out the entire welding process. Imme­di­ately after the welding process, the system checks whether all para­me­ters are within the spec­i­fied tol­er­ances and displays this imme­di­ately. At the same time, the welding data is auto­mat­i­cally archived on the built-in PC to ensure complete doc­u­men­ta­tion and quality control.

The AMS100 is the powerful flash butt weld machine for welding small to large rail profiles.

Maximum per­for­mance for larger rail profiles

Compared to the AMS60, it offers sig­nif­i­cantly more welding force and enables the pro­cess­ing of larger rail cross-sections, includ­ing grooved rails. These features make the AMS100 rail welding machine par­tic­u­larly suitable for freight train lines that require more robust rail cross-sections due to higher axle loads.

System AMS200

The AMS200 combines stress equal­iza­tion and flash butt welding in a single step – without an addi­tional drawing device.

Inde­pen­dent trimming device for the highest quality

The inde­pen­dent trimming device removes the welding burr directly after the process and ensures higher quality, as the rail ends remain clamped. The open design in the area of the rail foot prevents col­li­sions with sleepers and fas­ten­ings and facil­i­tates use in confined track areas.

  • Precise lateral align­ment: An inte­grated mea­sur­ing system enables precise adjust­ment of the rail ends, includ­ing control and cor­rec­tion func­tions.
  • Vertical align­ment: A hydraulic lifting device presses the rail ends ver­ti­cally against the crown stops before ten­sion­ing, ensuring that the running surfaces are per­fectly aligned.
  • Effi­cient bar clamping system: The self-closing, eccen­tric clamping system increases the clamping force for maximum sta­bil­ity as soon as the welding force takes effect.
  • Inde­pen­dent elec­trode control: The elec­trodes in the bar are moved by separate hydraulic cylin­ders, inde­pen­dent of the clamping elements, which enables flexible appli­ca­tion.
  • High pulling and com­pres­sion force: With a force of 1400 kN, the system handles demand­ing tasks with ease.
  • Large ten­sion­ing and welding path: A total path of 300 mm enables effec­tive tension com­pen­sa­tion includ­ing the welding process.
