At CHF 104.4 million, net sales were down on the previous year (2024: CHF 113.2 million). The order backlog as of 31.12.2025 amounts to CHF 48.8 million (31.12.2024: CHF 61.4 million). The oper­at­ing result (EBIT) for the 2025 finan­cial year is expected to be slightly positive. The market outlook for 2026 is cau­tiously positive. The welding segment has good capacity uti­liza­tion for the first half of the year, while the weaving segment still has capacity uti­liza­tion gaps.

In the first half of 2025, the Schlatter Group recorded a slight decline in order intake compared with the same period of the previous year, at CHF 54.1 million (first half of 2024: CHF 57.4 million). At CHF 52.0 million, net sales in the first half of the year were 15.8 % below the previous year’s figure (CHF 61.8 million). At CHF 63.5 million, the order backlog as of June 30, 2025, was slightly above the level at the end of 2024 (31.12.2024: CHF 61.4 million). Oper­at­ing profit (EBIT) for the first half of 2025 amounted to CHF 0.3 million (EBIT margin: 0.6 %) compared to CHF 1.3 million (EBIT margin: 2.0 %) in the same period of the previous year.

Geopo­lit­i­cal turmoil, import duties in the USA and the strong Swiss franc are weighing on oper­at­ing earnings.

The order backlog as at 31.12.2024 amounted to CHF 61.4 million (31.12.2023: CHF 73.9 million). The oper­at­ing result (EBIT) for the report­ing period amounted to CHF 2.0 million (2023: CHF 7.1 million). The result in the Weaving segment devel­oped pos­i­tively. The addi­tional costs in the welding segment weighed heavily on the oper­at­ing result. The Group result amounted to CHF 1.7 million (2023: CHF 5.1 million).

The oper­at­ing result (EBIT) for the finan­cial year is expected to be in the low single-digit million range. The market outlook for 2025 is positive and the plants are already well utilized for the current finan­cial year.

S c h l i e r e n, August 20, 2024 Schlatter’s IT network was attacked by malware on Friday, August 9, 2024. The internal ICT spe­cial­ists, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with external experts, were able to make the systems avail­able and func­tional again, so that they have been back in oper­a­tion since Monday, August 19, 2024.

The Schlatter Group recorded a slightly lower order intake of CHF 57.4 million in the first half of 2024 compared to the prior-year period (H1 2023: CHF 62.4 million). At CHF 61.8 million, net sales in the first half of the year were down on the prior-year period (CHF 67.4 million). At CHF 69.4 million, the order backlog as at 30.6.2024 was slightly below the level at the end of 2023 (31.12.2023: CHF 73.9 million). Delayed com­mis­sion­ing of customer projects in the welding segment led to addi­tional costs and pro­vi­sions had to be made for impend­ing con­trac­tual penal­ties. The oper­at­ing result (EBIT) for the first half of 2024 there­fore amounted to CHF 1.3 million (EBIT margin: 2 %) compared to CHF 3.7 million (EBIT margin: 5.4 %). Without these addi­tional costs and pro­vi­sions, the oper­at­ing result would have been roughly on a par with the previous year. The Schlatter Group reported a positive con­sol­i­dated result of CHF 1.6 million for the first half of the year (H1 2023: CHF 3.3 million).

S c h l i e r e n, August 12, 2024: Schlatter’s IT network was attacked with malware. The company imme­di­ately ini­ti­ated the nec­es­sary security measures and involved the relevant author­i­ties. A detailed inves­ti­ga­tion into the matter is underway.

S c h l i e r e n, June 24, 2024: Delayed com­mis­sion­ing of systems for the pro­duc­tion of rein­forc­ing wire mesh is leading to sig­nif­i­cantly higher costs and the threat of con­trac­tual penal­ties for the Schlatter Group. Schlatter is there­fore rec­og­niz­ing pro­vi­sions in the low single-digit million range.
