The production of high-quality cable trays requires a number of key manufacturing steps, including wire preparation, precise straightening and cutting as well as welding.
Additional processes such as T-welding, trimming, embossing, bending and stacking can be integrated to meet individual customer requirements. Whether from coil or bar, in single or multi-lane production – our machines offer both maximum efficiency for large series and maximum flexibility for customized solutions. This ensures consistently high quality with short production times.
Deckmesh is a grid-like shelving solution that has been specially developed for use in storage and logistics areas. It is characterized by a high load-bearing capacity and an open, comparatively light grid structure. The basis is a robust steel wire, which is often galvanized or powder-coated. Thanks to the open structure, less dirt and liquids collect. At the same time, it allows a clear view of the pallets and stored items. With our welding machines and the desired degree of automation, all common cover mesh variants can be produced efficiently. It doesn’t matter whether the design is with a flat iron beam, V or U profile, folded edge, upturned edge, internal edging or no edging at all.
Wire mesh is an indispensable component in shopfitting. They combine functionality, stability and design in a versatile system that can be adapted to the individual needs of each store. In addition to standardized solutions, many manufacturers offer customized wire mesh. Tailor-made solutions can be created using different mesh widths, wire thicknesses or special mounting systems. A high-performance, highly flexible system is required for the efficient and economical production of standard and special wire mesh in shopfitting. This should offer minimal changeover times and be able to process steel and stainless steel as well as flat iron beams and frames.
Whether 3D fencing with beads, anti-climb safety fencing, double wire mesh fencing, mobile fencing or fencing on rolls – our fence mesh welding systems enable the efficient and competitive production of custom-made mesh in small to large batch sizes. Depending on the machine type, the wires can be straightened and cut in the system or fed directly from spools, coils or reels.
Machine fencing and room dividers made from welded wire mesh are an ideal solution for creating safe and flexible working environments. They are robust and durable and, thanks to their adaptability, offer a cost-effective way of organizing and securing industrial areas.
Our machines guarantee both maximum efficiency for large series and maximum flexibility for customized solutions, ensuring consistently high quality with short production times.
In addition to precision, high-quality materials and efficient production techniques, the manufacture of gabion grids and stone baskets requires above all consistently high-quality and resilient welded joints. Our modular system enables a cost-effective start with an expandable single system. Thanks to a large number of additional modules and options, the system can be gradually expanded to a fully automated production solution with minimal manpower requirements.
Oven, grill and refrigerator grilles are often exposed to extreme temperatures. It is therefore particularly important to use high-quality welded joints in addition to the right materials to ensure quality, safety and durability.
On the one hand, the proven mesh welding lines enable efficient, semi-automatic to fully automatic production of predominantly rectangular meshes in large quantities. A large number of additional modules, such as the frequently used T-welding device, also allow flexible adaptation to individual customer requirements. On the other hand, the Posiweld System coordinate welding machine offers the possibility of producing 2D and 3D special meshes in almost any conceivable shape.
Animal cages are usually made of thin, galvanized wire with narrow meshes (pitches). The challenge in manufacturing these cages is, on the one hand, to guarantee strong welded joints that ensure both the safety of the animals and the longevity of the product. On the other hand, it must be ensured that the finished mesh is flat, undistorted, and free of sharp corners and edges.
Thanks to the individual welding groups (direct welding process) and MF welding technology, we can concentrate the energy specifically on the individual welding points. This minimizes the effect of heat on the grid, which produces a flat, undistorted grid and at the same time ensures the high quality of the welded joints.
In the mining industry, welded mine grids are often used in shafts, galleries or tunnels. They protect workers from possible collapses and sudden landslides and at the same time contribute to the structural stability of mining facilities. In view of the high safety requirements for life and health, high-quality and safe welded joints are essential.
In addition to reliable welding technology, Schlatter also offers various coil and rod systems that enable efficient and cost-effective production of grids.
Metal meshes are used as filters and sieves in numerous areas where metallic filter media are required. In the chemical industry, they are mainly used in filter and sieve applications to efficiently separate and clean substances. In the automotive industry, for example, they are used in particle filters for diesel and petrol engines and in airbag filters. In the aerospace industry, they are used as sound insulation, lightning protection, shielding and for filtering hydraulic systems. They are also used in building protection, for example as security fabric to protect against break-ins or flying objects during storms.
Our wire weaving machines offer maximum precision thanks to state-of-the-art drive and control technology and are designed for metal mesh with high weaving tensions – ideal for demanding applications.
The protective and fencing meshes are open-mesh, cranked meshes. In addition to stability, sufficient permeability and flexibility are also required. These mesh weaving machines follow the same principle as conventional systems, but use softer steels and iron wires instead of high-strength spring steel. The pre-treatment of the wires by crimping – both for the warp wires in an upstream process and for the weft wires directly in the machine – ensures precise and uniform weaving quality.
The screen grids are characterized by their precise mesh geometry and high stability. These screens are used to efficiently separate different media such as stones, coal or sand. Metal wires, usually made of spring steel, are first pre-cranked for production. The warp wires are crimped on separate crimping machines in an upstream process, while the weft wires are crimped in the mesh weaving machine by an integrated crimping machine and precisely inserted into the shed. This process guarantees a uniform mesh structure and the required strength, which is crucial for demanding screen applications.
