The cold-rolling cassette consists of two sets of three rolls, each designed to form three equidistant planes at 120° to one another.
In the rolling cassette, the tungsten carbide rolls are adjustable both axially and radially.
The roll holders are mounted onto the cassette using pins with a series of holes and are connected to a cooling system required to dissipate the heat generated during the rolling process.
Each cassette is equipped with two independent cooling systems – one for each of the two wire entry and exit groups.
The cassette is also equipped with a manual handle that allows simultaneous radial adjustment (opening and closing) of the rolls according to the required reduction.
For lubrication of the roll holders, the cassette features a distributor that conveys grease through six pipes and pins to the roll-holder support bearings.
Lubrication of the roll holders can be carried out either automatically or manually.
