Schlatter RC25 and RC30 roll cassettes – also compatible with third-party systems

Rolling cassettes

The RC rolling cassette models are specifically designed for the cold-rolling process of industrial and reinforcing wire, with a maximum entry diameter of 18.0 mm and a minimum exit diameter of 3.0 mm.

In addition to use on our own systems, these roll cassettes can also be easily installed on cold rolling mills from other manufacturers. This allows us to offer users maximum flexibility when modernizing and maintaining existing production lines.
The roll cassettes are conveniently and reliably available from our spare parts service and can be quickly integrated into existing system concepts.

General characteristics

The cold-rolling cassette consists of two sets of three rolls, each designed to form three equidistant planes at 120° to one another.

In the rolling cassette, the tungsten carbide rolls are adjustable both axially and radially.

The roll holders are mounted onto the cassette using pins with a series of holes and are connected to a cooling system required to dissipate the heat generated during the rolling process.

Each cassette is equipped with two independent cooling systems – one for each of the two wire entry and exit groups.

The cassette is also equipped with a manual handle that allows simultaneous radial adjustment (opening and closing) of the rolls according to the required reduction.

For lubrication of the roll holders, the cassette features a distributor that conveys grease through six pipes and pins to the roll-holder support bearings.

Lubrication of the roll holders can be carried out either automatically or manually.
