System AMS200 – the latest mobile rail welding machine

The AMS200 is the latest Schlatter devel­op­ment of a mobile rail welding machine that can perform stress equal­iza­tion and flash butt welding in a single oper­a­tion, without the need for an addi­tional drawing device.

The welding machine has the nec­es­sary force to stretch the rails to the required cal­cu­lated length. The loss of material due to the welding process is taken into account. The machine offers plenty of travel so that stress equal­iza­tion can be carried out reliably even at low tem­per­a­tures.

The AMS200 has a debur­ring device that is inde­pen­dent of the carriage and removes the burr imme­di­ately after welding, even if the rail ends are jammed. The force acts in the neutral zone of the rail, which increases the welding quality and protects the machine. The machine is open in the area of the rail foot to prevent col­li­sions with sleepers and rail fas­ten­ings as well as lifting of the rails.

The AMS200 is avail­able in two system variants. The Supra Roadflex system is mounted on a truck with a rail-road chassis and is there­fore very flexible in terms of where it can be used.

A compact 30-foot con­tainer is avail­able for the Supra Mul­ti­flex system, in which the entire equip­ment is installed to save space. Alter­na­tively, there is also a system in which two 20-foot con­tain­ers (energy and welding con­tain­ers) form a single unit.
